In 2021, Wells of Life Ambassador Sister Joan partnered with Sister Lydia in Uganda to fund a memorial well in honor of a fellow nun. The well is located in Mityana, providing water for the community's produce on a 30-acre farm. Although Sister Lydia was thrilled with the positive change for her community, she knew that the seven surrounding communities were still in need of a well within walking distance. She wrote to Wells of Life detailing the urgent need for these local villages to have safe access to clean water. Now, both Sister Lydia and Sister Joan have come together with Wells of Life to honor their fellow sisters and change the lives of the locals in the farming community of Mityana by creating the Sisters For Sister Project!
